A defensive-minded, high-motor forward who earned respect at UMES
Tyler Hines was a reliable Maryland Eastern Shore forward who started 26 of 30 games in the 2011-12 season, averaged 8.2 points in 24.2 minutes per game, and earned All-MEAC Honorable Mention plus the conference All-Defensive Team. His best differentiator is his two-way value: production, toughness, and sportsmanship, highlighted by UMES’s Jostens Award for Sportsmanship in 2012. If you want a physical, dependable frontcourt piece who brings effort and defensive edge more than flash, Hines fits that profile well.
