Jalani Williams brings veteran ball skills and transfer pedigree to Kent State’s secondary
In the 2023 season, Jalani Williams gave Kent State a steady veteran presence at safety, logging 26 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 interception, and 2 pass breakups over 12 games. He was a high-end recruit coming out of Missouri, and that background shows up in his route recognition, screen diagnosis, and downhill trigger. The upside fit is clear for a defense needing an experienced, instinctive DB; the only real question is whether his playmaking can scale in a tougher weekly workload.
