Huisman is a sturdy, high-effort interior defender who has shown he can translate strength into real disruption: in 2024 at North Dakota State, he posted 37 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks, and a forced fumble, then elevated again in the FCS playoffs. His biggest differentiators are run defense, leverage, and motor—his PFF grades and Pro Day numbers point to a player who wins with functional power rather than flash.
