Byron Davis brings ball-hawking upside to Tennessee State’s secondary
In the 2025 season, Tennessee State DB Byron Davis flashed real playmaking juice with 2 interceptions in 6 games, plus 1.0 sack and 1 forced fumble, which is the kind of disruptive profile coaches love on the back end. He’s listed at 6'1" and 195 pounds, giving him solid size for a DB, and the stat line suggests he can impact the game beyond coverage with timing, aggression, and versatility. The big question is consistency: the numbers say ceiling, and the fit looks best for a defense that wants a physical, opportunistic defensive back who can trigger fast and create turnovers.
