Delaware State LB David Hughes brings veteran size, but public stat detail is thin
David Hughes is listed on Delaware State’s 2026 football roster as a graduate linebacker, giving the Hornets an older, more experienced presence in the middle of the defense[1]. Publicly available stat and scouting detail on his on-field production is limited, so the clearest takeaway is profile-based: he looks like the kind of physical, mature defender teams value for communication, alignment, and downhill toughness rather than flashy box-score production[1][2]. If your team wants a steady linebacker with older-player edge, Hughes is worth a look; if you need a heavily decorated stat leader, the public record doesn’t show that yet[1].
