Billy Martin brings burst and efficiency to Mercer’s backfield
Billy Martin’s 2025 season at Mercer was small-sample but eye-catching: 13 carries for 82 yards, a 6.3 yards-per-carry clip, and a season-long run of 25 yards, after he logged 12 carries for 53 yards and a touchdown in 2024. He’s listed by Mercer at 5-8 and 190 pounds as a junior, and the profile here is clear: compact, quick, and productive with the ball in his hands. If you need a runner who can create chunk gains and add explosiveness without needing a heavy workload, he’s a smart watch-list name.
