Charlotte Bentley brings contact, chaos, and versatility for Mercer
Bentley, a 5-4 sophomore C/OF for Mercer in the 2026 season, has been a situational spark and defensive chess piece: she appeared in 18 games with four starts, hit .154, and reached base via two walks and three hit-by-pitches, while scoring twice and showing the kind of pesky, pressure-tested style coaches love. She also notched her first hit on March 7 at NC State and even delivered a key defensive substitution role at catcher, which makes her more than a box-score blip. The fit? Small but scrappy, with real utility and grit.
