Lubbock Smith brings veteran safety instincts and steady tackling to Kansas
Lubbock Smith is a proven, physical **safety** for Kansas whose value comes from reliable run support, ball production, and experience; ESPN lists **93 solo tackles, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 interceptions**, while Kansas’ roster notes a career-best **50 tackles** with **4.5 tackles for loss** in 2011. That profile suggests a defender who reads quickly, plays with urgency, and can help stabilize the back end rather than just chase splash plays, making him a fit for teams that want toughness, consistency, and a safety who shows up on every snap.
