Penn utility arm Ella Utschig offers versatility, but 2026 bat has been light
Ella Utschig brings **two-way versatility** as a UTIL/RHP for Penn, and her value starts with lineup flexibility and the ability to handle multiple roles. In the 2026 season, she’s batting **.179** with **8 RBI**, while Penn roster notes show she was a more productive on-base contributor in 2025, ranking **second on the team in OBP (.358)** and third in batting average (.274), which suggests a useful contact profile when locked in. As a pitcher, her 2024 line (2-2, 7.74 ERA in 19.0 IP) shows she’s still more of a depth/utility piece than a finished frontline arm, but the multi-position profile can fit staffs that value adaptability.[2][5][1]
