Carl Spitale brings experienced, pass-protecting stability to FAU’s offensive line
Spitale is a veteran offensive tackle whose value shows up in the trenches: in 2008 at Florida Atlantic, he played in five games and helped anchor a line that allowed just 16 sacks on the season, with 12 allowed before the bowl game.[5] Earlier in his career, he earned Palm Beach Post Third Team All-State honors in high school and arrived at Temple as a tackle prospect from West Palm Beach.[2][3] The bigger story is durability and persistence—he bounced through multiple colleges and returned after a long layoff, which speaks to toughness and maturity.[9] He looks like a fit for a team needing reliable line depth and a composed, experienced presence.[5][9]
