Ellis Martin brings seasoned, hard-nosed edge to Davidson’s front seven
Ellis Martin is a senior linebacker/defensive front presence for Davidson, listed at 6-1 and 255 pounds, and the coaching staff has described him as “country strong,” athletic, powerful with his hands, and a smart angle-taker who leads by example. In the 2010 season, he ranked 13th in the PFL in sacks and tied for ninth in tackles for loss, which matches the film-room profile: disruptive, physical, and reliable. If a team wants toughness, leadership, and a player who fits a disciplined, blue-collar defensive identity, Martin is a compelling fit.
