left-handed live arm, but the Rebels-era runway is over
Austin Simmons is best known as a left-handed QB with real arm talent and dual-threat ability, but the latest data shows his 2025 Ole Miss production was modest: 45-of-75 passing for 744 yards, 4 TDs and 5 INTs, plus 22 carries for 71 yards. In January 2026, reports said he planned to transfer, and by spring 2026 Missouri had named him its starting quarterback, so he is no longer on the Ole Miss roster. If you’re buying traits, he offers upside and starter-level poise; if you’re buying certainty, the sample still screams projection over proof.
