veteran Iowa State run-stuffer who turned versatility into value
Jamahl Johnson’s Iowa State résumé shows a tough, dependable defensive tackle who grew into a three-year starter and earned All-Big 12 honorable mention in his senior year. In his Iowa State career, he posted 49 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, and four sacks across 42 games, with a knack for doing the dirty work inside and making timely plays in big moments. He was also known as an underrated recruit who developed well, bringing strength, effort, and maturity—exactly the kind of interior presence coaches love.
