Claire Krotine brings lefty speed, gap-to-gap juice, and sneaky-baseball IQ to Santa Clara
In the 2026 season, Claire Krotine profiles as a fast, left-handed outfielder who adds depth and pressure on the basepaths for Santa Clara. Her high-school track record was legit—she hit .467 in 2024 and earned Delta League MVP honors—while Santa Clara’s own preseason note highlighted her efficient lefty swing and fit in an already quick outfield. She’s the kind of player who can tilt innings with speed, contact, and hustle rather than pure power, which makes her a nice fit for teams that value disruptive, high-energy softball.
