Proven NCAA Coach Takes Helm at Charleston After Clemson Rebuild
Amanda Butler, newly named head coach of College of Charleston women's basketball on a five-year deal in 2026, brings a wealth of experience with a 190-137 record over 10 seasons at Florida (averaging 19 wins per year, four NCAA Tournaments, six 20-win seasons) and a stint as Louisville assistant helping to a 22-11 mark in 2023-24. At Clemson (2018-2024), she posted an 81-106 record, peaking with a 19-16 season and WNIT Super 16 in 2022-23 before a 12-19 finish led to her exit. Her differentiator: talent developer who mentored 10 pros at Florida; ideal for rebuilding programs with her intensity and winning pedigree—no direct Idaho State ties found.
