Oregon State’s do-it-all frontcourt force
Joe Burton was a uniquely versatile Oregon State big in the 2012-13 season, finishing as the only Beaver with 1,000+ points, 700+ rebounds, and 300+ assists in program history. He wasn’t just a paint bruiser at 6-foot-7 and 295 pounds; he could facilitate, rebound, and create matchup problems with unusual feel for a frontcourt player. That kind of all-around production, plus his reputation as a vocal leader, made him more than a stat line — he was a tone-setter and a fit for teams that value toughness, passing, and interior versatility.
