Daejuan Thompson brings senior-sized physicality and depth to Gardner-Webb’s linebacker room
At 6-foot-3 and 205 pounds, Daejuan Thompson is a senior linebacker for Gardner-Webb with the frame and experience to play downhill and add maturity to the defense in the 2026 season. He’s a solid fit for a team that wants length, special-teams value, and a steady, developmental presence rather than a headline-grabbing stat machine; public roster sources list him on the current squad, but the available stat pages don’t show a robust statistical profile, so his appeal is more about size, role versatility, and veteran reliability than splashy production.
