Montana’s tough, versatile linebacker with depth-chart grit
Gage Smith is a Whitefish, Montana product who brings linebacker size, local-rooted toughness, and added special-teams value to the Grizzlies; in the 2016 season, he played in three games and logged an assisted tackle, while the 2017 roster noted he could see limited time at linebacker and long snapper. His biggest differentiator is versatility: he’s the kind of blue-collar defender coaches love because he can help in multiple roles, stay ready, and provide depth without drama. If you want a reliable, physical, team-first fit, he checks those boxes.
