Joey Turner brings a live arm and advanced pitchability to BGSU's freshman staff
In the 2026 season, Bowling Green freshman RHP Joey Turner is a 5-foot-10, 200-pound righty from St. Clair, Michigan, and was ranked the No. 13 right-handed pitcher in the state by Prep Baseball Report[1][2]. Coaches have described him as a physical, strong-armed pitcher with advanced pitchability and a changeup he can throw in any count, which makes him more than just a radar-gun arm[3]. Add in his history with Team Michigan and USA Baseball Midwest, and he looks like a competitive, strike-throwing fit who can develop into a sneaky-good piece for a staff[3].
