High-Upside NCCU Defensive Back With Young-Player Grit
Troy Philpot is listed on North Carolina Central’s football roster as a freshman defensive back from Chesapeake, Virginia, and the available public record suggests a young prospect rather than a proven college producer yet.[1][3] At 5-foot-9 and 166 pounds, he projects as a compact, likely quick-twitch defender who can be developed for coverage and run support, but there are no current game stats in the provided sources to verify on-field impact.[1] If you’re evaluating fit, the appeal is upside and growth potential more than immediate production.[1][3]
