High-Impact Outfielder with Elite Speed and Defensive Versatility
Sam Walz is a 5'4" outfielder for the South Florida Bulls whose differentiator is her elite speed and defensive versatility, making her a game-changer beyond raw batting stats. In the 2024 season, she appeared in 21 games primarily as a pinch runner, stole second base, and made her first start versus Florida, showcasing her high-intensity playstyle and clutch decision-making. Her 2026 cumulative stats show a .200 batting average, but her true value lies in her ability to impact every phase—defense, speed, and offensive pressure. Walz is a perfect fit for teams needing a dynamic, high-energy player who elevates team speed and defensive reliability. After three years at USF, she entered the transfer portal in 2026 and is currently playing in the Coastal Plains League, indicating her drive to compete at the next level.
