DJ Hamler brings veteran burst and versatility to Morgan State’s backfield
DJ Hamler enters the 2026 season as a proven Morgan State playmaker with veteran polish, quickness, and special-teams value; in 2023, he produced 91 receiving yards on 8 catches and averaged 15.2 yards as a kick returner, while Morgan State coaches said in 2024 that he had done a good job in camp. His listed 5'8", 170-pound frame points to an undersized-but-slippery style rather than bruising power, and earlier coverage praised his top-tier athleticism and competitiveness. He looks like the kind of multi-use piece who can help if a team values speed, return ability, and savvy over pure size.
