Paige Maynard gives Marshall a veteran, big-game arm in the circle
In the 2026 season, Paige Maynard emerged as Marshall’s workhorse pitcher, logging 115.2 innings with 58 strikeouts, nine wins, a save, and multiple shutout performances, including consecutive complete-game shutouts against Canisius and Georgia Southern.[1][2] The senior right-hander’s value goes beyond the box score: she was trusted to carry major innings in Marshall’s NCAA Tournament run, delivered a save to seal a tournament win over Howard, and was recognized as an Academic All-District selection—an indicator of the steady, dependable presence coaches love.[1][3]
