Recap

Michigan State stunned Notre Dame 44-41 in a thrilling overtime classic at Notre Dame Stadium. The Spartans jumped ahead 38-17 after a SirDarean Adams 30-yard pick-six and Drew Stanton's 65-yard touchdown strike to Matt Trannon in the third quarter, but Brady Quinn rallied the Fighting Irish with three fourth-quarter touchdown passes to Jeff Samardzija and Maurice Stovall to force overtime tied at 38. After D.J. Fitzpatrick's 44-yard field goal gave Notre Dame the lead in OT, Jason Teague answered with a 19-yard touchdown run to seal the dramatic Spartans victory.
