Recap
Stanford survived a thrilling back-and-forth battle at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, holding off the Midshipmen 41-38. After T.J. Rushing's 93-yard kickoff return sparked a 14-point first quarter, the Cardinal built a 41-24 lead on Michael Sgroi's pair of fourth-quarter field goals and Gerren Crochet's explosive 46-yard touchdown run. Navy mounted a furious rally behind Marco Nelson's 54-yard touchdown reception and Adam Ballard's 4-yard scoring run capping a gutsy 16-play drive, but Stanford's defense stood tall in the final moments to secure the victory.
