Recap
Michigan State dominated Hawaii 42-14 at Spartan Stadium, building an insurmountable 28-0 halftime lead behind Drew Stanton's three touchdown passes and Javon Ringer's explosive ground game. Ringer rushed for three scores, including a 41-yarder, while Stanton connected with three different receivers as the Spartans rolled up points on an efficient 11-play, 80-yard opening touchdown drive. Hawaii's Colt Brennan threw two fourth-quarter touchdowns to Davone Bess and Ian Sample, but the comeback attempt came far too late against the dominant Big Ten squad.
