Recap
Elon rallied from a 13-0 first-quarter deficit to defeat Towson 17-13 in a Coastal Athletic Association showdown at Rhodes Stadium. The Phoenix took control in the third quarter with Brandon Gentry's 5-yard rushing touchdown early in the period, then added crucial breathing room on John Gallagher's 45-yard field goal. Shane Simpson's electrifying 49-yard touchdown run had helped stake the Tigers to their early lead, but Elon's defense clamped down after halftime to preserve the comeback victory.
