Syracuse survived a thrilling five-overtime battle, outlasting Central Michigan 30-27 at the JMA Wireless Dome. The Orange built a 24-10 halftime lead behind Eric Dungey's passing and rushing touchdown, but the Chippewas clawed back as Cooper Rush threw a 27-yard touchdown to Ben McCord with just seven seconds left in regulation to force overtime. After Central Michigan's Brian Eavey kicked a 20-yard field goal in the fifth overtime, Jordan Fredericks punched in a 4-yard touchdown run to seal the dramatic victory for the Orange.
