BYU pulled off a thrilling 33-28 road victory over Nebraska with a dramatic finish at Memorial Stadium. After the Cornhuskers rallied from a 24-14 halftime deficit to take a 28-24 lead in the third quarter on Tommy Armstrong Jr.'s third touchdown pass, the Cougars responded in clutch fashion. Tanner Mangum connected with Mitch Mathews on a 42-yard touchdown strike as time expired, capping a lightning-quick 48-second drive to seal the comeback win. Taysom Hill powered BYU's early offense with two rushing touchdowns before Mangum delivered the game-winning heroics.
