Recap

SMU dominated East Texas A&M 42-13 in a season opener highlighted by two defensive touchdowns from Alexander Kilgore and Ahmaad Moses. The Mustangs jumped to a 14-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back, with quarterback Kevin Jennings delivering touchdown passes to Romello Brinson and Jalen Cooper while adding a rushing score of his own. The Lions managed just three points until the fourth quarter when the game was already well out of reach.
