Memphis dominated Chattanooga 45-10 in a season-opener that saw the Tigers build a commanding 28-3 halftime lead with three rushing touchdowns and a 22-yard strike from Brendon Lewis to Cortez Braham Jr. The Tigers' defense joined the scoring party when DeMarco Ward returned an interception 25 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter. Memphis finished with an impressive four rushing touchdowns from four different players in the lopsided home victory.
