Florida held off a late Mississippi State rally to secure a 23-21 victory at The Swamp, powered by kicker Trey Smack's three critical field goals including two from beyond 50 yards. The Gators built a 20-7 lead early in the fourth quarter on KD Daniels' 1-yard touchdown plunge before the Bulldogs responded with two Davon Booth rushing scores. Smack's 53-yard bomb with 6:49 remaining proved to be the difference as Florida's defense made one final stand to preserve the win.
