Troy claimed the Battle for the Belt with a thrilling 31-24 overtime victory over South Alabama, as Tae Meadows punched in the decisive 3-yard touchdown run in the extra period. Tucker Kilcrease starred for the Trojans, accounting for three touchdowns including a 34-yard rushing score and two passing strikes to RaRa Thomas and DJ Epps. The Jaguars forced overtime when Bishop Davenport connected with Kentrel Bullock with just 1:54 remaining, but couldn't match the Trojans' overtime score.
