Ohio State dominated Illinois 34-16, jumping out to a commanding 20-0 lead in the first half behind CJ Donaldson's two rushing touchdowns and Julian Sayin's pair of scoring strikes. The Buckeyes never let the Fighting Illini get closer than 10 points, responding to each Illinois score with one of their own. Despite a late touchdown from Luke Altmyer to Collin Dixon, the Buckeyes controlled the action throughout at Gies Memorial Stadium.
