Recap

UAB claimed the Battle for the Bones with a thrilling 31-24 victory over Memphis, powered by quarterback Ryder Burton's three touchdown passes to Iverson Hooks. The Blazers weathered an early momentum shift when Memphis's Sutton Smith returned a kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown, but UAB pulled ahead for good in the third quarter on Solomon Beebe's explosive 81-yard touchdown run. Despite a late fourth-quarter touchdown from the Tigers, the Blazers held on to secure the win at Protective Stadium.
