San Jose State held off a late New Mexico rally to secure a 35-28 victory at CEFCU Stadium. Walker Eget led the Spartans' offensive attack with three touchdown passes, including a 70-yard bomb to Danny Scudero in the second quarter. Steve Chavez-Soto contributed two rushing touchdowns for the Spartans, who built a comfortable 35-17 lead before the Lobos scored 11 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to make things interesting.
