Recap

Georgia Southern survived a frantic "Deeper than Hate" showdown, holding off Appalachian State 25-23 after building a commanding 19-0 first-half lead. The Eagles dominated early behind JC French IV, who connected with Marcus Sanders Jr. for a 47-yard score and later added a rushing touchdown, while Tripp Bryant contributed four field goals. The Mountaineers mounted a furious comeback with AJ Swann throwing two touchdown passes and Jaquari Lewis adding a 27-yard scoring run, but their rally fell just short in the rivalry classic.
