Recap
The Cougars held off a furious Baylor comeback to secure a 31-24 victory at McLane Stadium. Houston dominated early behind Conner Weigman, who accounted for three total touchdowns including two on the ground. The Bears erased a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter with Joseph Dodds' short touchdown run and Josh Cameron's 31-yard scoring reception from Sawyer Robertson, but Dean Connors' 1-yard plunge with under two minutes remaining proved decisive for Houston.
