Recap
SMU rolled past Syracuse 31-18 behind quarterback Kevin Jennings' masterful four-touchdown performance at Gerald J. Ford Stadium. The Mustangs built a commanding 24-3 halftime lead with Jennings connecting on three second-quarter touchdown passes to three different receivers. Despite a late push from the Orange, including a safety and two fourth-quarter touchdowns, SMU's early dominance proved too much for Syracuse to overcome.
