Recap

Duke rallied late to edge Arizona State 42-39 in a thrilling Sun Bowl shootout, with quarterback Darian Mensah connecting with Que'Sean Brown on a 17-yard touchdown strike with just 2:10 remaining. Mensah threw four touchdown passes, including a 69-yarder to Brown, while Arizona State's Jeff Sims matched him with four total touchdowns in a back-and-forth battle that featured six lead changes. The Blue Devils' defense made crucial stops down the stretch to preserve the victory after the Sun Devils had taken a 39-35 lead early in the fourth quarter.
