Recap

Southern Miss survived a furious fourth-quarter rally to edge Georgia Southern 38-35 in a thrilling battle of the Eagles. Quarterback Braylon Braxton connected with Tychaun Chapman for a 50-yard strike and Carl Chester for a 30-yard score, while Jeffery Pittman punched in two short touchdown runs to build a commanding 28-7 halftime lead. Georgia Southern's JC French IV nearly completed the comeback with two rushing touchdowns and a pair of passing scores, including a 26-yard connection with Camden Brown that sparked the late-game push.
