Recap

South Alabama powered past Southern Miss 42-35 with a relentless ground attack featuring Kentrel Bullock's three touchdowns, including a game-breaking 64-yard sprint. The Jaguars built a commanding 35-7 lead behind Bishop Davenport's two rushing scores before the Golden Eagles mounted a furious fourth-quarter comeback with three late touchdowns. Despite Braylon Braxton throwing three TD passes for Southern Miss, South Alabama's six rushing touchdowns proved too much to overcome.
