Recap

Memphis steamrolled Rice 38-14 in a Halloween night blowout at Rice Stadium, powered by Frank Peasant's dominant three rushing touchdowns in the first half. The Tigers stormed to a commanding 28-0 lead before the Owls could find any rhythm, with Memphis scoring five rushing touchdowns overall. Despite late scores from Aaron Turner and Tyvonn Byars, Rice couldn't overcome Memphis' overwhelming ground attack that controlled the game from the opening quarter.
