The Ragin' Cajuns surged to a commanding 31-7 third-quarter lead and held off a late South Alabama comeback for a 31-22 road victory at Hancock Whitney Stadium. Louisiana quarterback Lunch Winfield delivered a stellar performance with two touchdown passes to Shelton Sampson Jr. and added a rushing score of his own. The Jaguars showed fight behind Bishop Davenport, who threw for a 64-yard touchdown and ran for another, but couldn't overcome Louisiana's early offensive onslaught.
