Recap

Louisiana Tech dominated Sam Houston in a 55-14 blowout, building a commanding 27-0 halftime lead behind Clay Thevenin's three rushing touchdowns and quarterback Blake Baker's versatile performance. The Bulldogs' ground attack proved unstoppable as they piled up six rushing scores throughout the game, while Jacob Fields delivered the exclamation point with an 85-yard interception return touchdown in the fourth quarter. Despite Elijah Green's two touchdown runs for the Bearkats, including an explosive 80-yarder, Louisiana Tech's offense was simply overwhelming at Joe Aillet Stadium.
