Recap

East Carolina dominated Tulsa 41-27 in an offensive showcase at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, with quarterback Katin Houser connecting with Anthony Smith for two explosive touchdowns of 66 and 63 yards. The Pirates never trailed, building a 24-14 halftime lead and extending it with London Montgomery's 51-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. Despite Tulsa's attempts to rally behind Baylor Hayes' two touchdown passes, Houser sealed the game with a 2-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter.
