FIU stunned Liberty 34-27 in overtime as quarterback Joe Pesansky delivered the decisive blow with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Maguire Anderson. The Panthers rallied from a 21-17 halftime deficit, taking control in the third quarter when Pesansky connected with Alex Perry to give FIU its first lead. Liberty forced overtime with a dramatic 48-yard field goal by Jay Billingsley as time expired in regulation, but the Panthers' defense stood tall in the extra period.
