Marshall dominated Eastern Kentucky 38-7 with an offensive explosion led by quarterback Carlos Del Rio-Wilson, who accounted for three touchdowns including two second-quarter scoring passes. The Thundering Herd built a commanding 31-0 halftime lead with Justin Williams-Thomas contributing both a rushing and receiving touchdown. Eastern Kentucky finally got on the board in the third quarter with a Jordyn Potts to Jayden West connection, but Marshall's balanced attack proved too much at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
