Recap

North Texas outlasted Army 45-38 in a thrilling overtime shootout at Michie Stadium, as Caleb Hawkins capped his spectacular four-touchdown performance with the decisive 3-yard score in the extra period. The Mean Green built a commanding 28-7 lead before the Black Knights mounted a furious comeback, with Dewayne Coleman throwing touchdown passes of 17 and 68 yards while engineering a game-tying drive capped by Dawson Jones' 23-yard field goal with just nine seconds remaining. Army's resilience wasn't enough as North Texas survived the wild back-and-forth contest that saw five lead changes.
