Recap

BYU dominated East Carolina 34-13 behind a balanced offensive attack and opportunistic defense at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. The Cougars seized momentum late in the first half when Evan Johnson's 4-yard interception return for a touchdown pushed their lead to 13-3. Bear Bachmeier led the way for BYU with both passing and rushing touchdowns, while LJ Martin's explosive 41-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter sealed the convincing road victory.
